iPhone Tip – Display Character Count In Text Messages

Here is a quick tip on how to get your character count working when you type a text message on your iPhone. By default one sms is composed of 160 characters and many carries charge you on this basis. Thus with the character count in place you can keep a track on the word limit of all text messages. Follow the following steps to get it working.

1. Go to Settings

2. Tap  on Messages

3. Then tap the Character Count switch

Note:

  • The count appears as you type when your message exceeds two lines.
  • This is very helpful as you may want to do this when carrier fees apply.
