One Liner Quick Tips and Tricks for your iPhone 5

These simple tips and tricks will help you travel from one destination to the next, get more done with Siri, and make the things you do every day even easier.

 

  • Tweet or update your Facebook status right from Notification Center.

 

  • Siri Raise to Speak is a great feature. It’s great when you want to make a phone call right from the locked screen. (Setting >> General >> Siri)

 

  • Hide your keyboard in the Messages App by swiping down from above the text box of the screen while reading / replying a message.

 

  • Control which Apps use your Accounts (i.e. Location services, Contacts, Photos, Calenders, Reminders etc.). Go to Settings >> Privacy.

 

  • While listing to music on your iPhone, ask Siri what song is playing. She knows. 😉

 

  • Print Apple Maps right from your device. While in the Maps App, pull the bottom right corner up and tap on Print.

 

  • Need to see exactly what percentage of your iPhone battery is left? Go to Settings >> General >> Usage >> Battery Percentage.

 

  • Find out what is taking up all the space on your iPhone. Go to Settings >> General >> Usage.

 

  • Ask Siri to search by different criteria or a combination. Siri gets you photos, reviews, and reservations.

 

  • With iOS 6, you can ask Siri to open apps. Just say something like “Play Angry Birds” or “Open iPhoto.”

 

  • Tell Siri to set an alarm for a particular time. You can ask it to set as many as you need.

 

  • If you’ve lost your iPhone, Find My iPhone can help you locate it. Just go to Settings > iCloud and turn on the Find My iPhone feature.

 

  • In Settings, turn on Do Not Disturb to avoid dealing with all incoming calls and notifications. Enable it manually or schedule a recurring time. Or allow calls from your favorites or specific contact groups.

 

  • While shooting video or photos, tap the screen where you want to focus. iPhone also adjusts the exposure and white balance automatically.

 

  • In Mail, touch and hold the Compose button to switch to your list of saved message drafts.
