I recently got a mail from one our our readers regarding a peculiar problem she was facing. She recently made a trip to Arizona where she got a local sim card, thus avoiding heavy international roaming. Everything was fine but when she got back home and inserted her regular sim, she couldn’t find the Personal Hotspot option. Well no need to panic as there is an easy fix to this problem. Follow the following steps on your iPhone 5.
- Tap Settings
- Go to General
- Scroll all the way to the bottom and tap Reset
- Tap Reset Network Settings. (After this you will be prompted to enter your passcode. Be patient and wait for the device to restart.)
5. After the device restarts tap on Settings
6. Go to General
7. Tap Network
8. Tap Personal Hotspot (or Enable Personal Hotspot, depending on which appears) and Move the Slider to On.
This will reset any of the networking-related settings on your iPhone that you may have changed. The iPhone will restart and, when it does, Personal Hotspot should once again be available in the Network section of Settings. Hope this helped.
